Education
Biosfera Project proposes to use urban challenges as a basis for learning, hosting in its target areas the BioSchool, an innovation center with an emphasis on research and development of urban-regenerative solutions.
We believe that the future of humanity depends on the ability to live harmoniously with the environment, developing new technologies focused on life, not only human, but of all living beings and the planet's ecosystem.
Thus, BioSchool will seek to bring people and institutions closer to the Living Lab Biosfera areas, making them live together while studying, teaching or working, always focusing on combating the great problems of today's society, such as individualism, exaggerated consumerism, lack of respect between individuals, exercising the sense of the collective and the search for a regenerative thinking model.
Some of our thinking models that will be the subject of study and research:
Biomimetics
Learning from nature's 3.8 billion years of experience.
Recognizing the wisdom accumulated over billions of years by nature and reconnecting with it is the starting point of biomimetics, a science that has been arousing interest in reproducing the strategies of the natural environment and thus solving impasses of our time.
Biomimicry brings two novelties: the awareness of nature as a source of inspiration and the systematization of research through a non-linear methodology, full of tools, called Biomimicry DesignLens .
Donut Economics
Learning from nature's 3.8 billion years of experience.
Donut Economics proposes an economic mindset suited to the context and challenges of the 21st century.
It is not a set of policies and institutions, but a way of thinking that gives rise to the regenerative and distributive dynamics that this century demands. Based on insights from diverse schools of economic thought - including ecological, feminist, institutional, behavioral and complexity economics
The concept based on the diagram reminiscent of a donut consists of two concentric rings: a social base, to ensure that no one falls short of the fundamentals of life, and an ecological ceiling, to ensure that humanity does not collectively overstep the planetary boundaries that protect systems. Earth's life support. Between these two sets of boundaries is a donut-shaped space that is both ecologically safe and socially just: a space in which humanity can thrive.
